Due to our expansion in Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Kirklees, we are looking for new team members to deliver the national Bikeability programme in local schools. No previous experience of teaching cycling is necessary, but previous experience in sports coaching or working in education, or with age 10 - 12yrs children, is a definite advantage. Being a parent counts!


The work is flexible and generally term-time only. The pay is £12.50 /hr initially, rising to £14.50 /hr after a probationary period. Staff are entitled to travel expenses, paid holiday, pension and sick pay.


Applicants for this role will be subject to DBS checks.

Our next instructor training courses are in May '24 in Leeds and Doncaster:

 

The Leeds course is at Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre

(HEART), Bennett Road, Headingley, Leeds, LS6 3HN on:

 

Monday May13th - 9am to 5pm

Tuesday May14th - 9am to 5pm

Wednesday May15th - 9am to 5pm

Thursday May16th - 9am to 5pm

The Doncaster course is at the YMCA, 31 Wood St,

Doncaster DN1 3LH  on:

 

Monday May13th - 9am to 5pm

Tuesday May14th - 9am to 5pm

Wednesday May15th - 9am to 5pm

Thursday May16th - 9am to 5pm

There are four days of practical training which are a mix of classroom and on-road sessions, with some evening prep to do. The sessions will run from 9am each day and candidates will have to be available for all the sessions. The training is free for new staff.
